Hey,

While quite a lot has been happening at the back end , a couple of new features have been added to the

Malware issue sorted

These was a malware attack on the Vocietap blog, due to which “unsafe website message” was displayed on Chrome and Internet Explorer.
It took us quite sometime to get the issue sorted out but then finally the issue has been sorted out and the blog is functioning properly.

STD calls, PIN numbers and … one Announcement

We have been getting constant feedback about the issues that are being faced by outstation students with dialing an STD number, so we decided to do something about it. The issues raised were

IIT JEE Call is Available.

Thanks to all the users, our debut IIT JEE call which was on 5th April, went extremely well . But then all said and done, the call is still available for all those who were unable to logon to the call, which means that all those who could not log on to the call can listen to the recording

Twice and not once(http://bit.ly/ArABq and http://bit.ly/3ksfT ),we have been quoted as based out of Mumbai, but then the reality however is known to just the 4 of us. While the answer to this question can lead to another question during one of our conference calls we decided against making any explanations to the fact where are based out of.
The fact that M who is currently in East UP – a place that goes beyond the scope of Google Maps, D is usually found near Thaddi’s looking around for Wills and Chai,

while V continues to …lets not talk about him

Getting back to the question, unlike many startup’s which usually operate out of apartments, if things go worse rented apartments, hostel rooms, we practically operate on Conference calls.
The word vicnity has eluded most of us and perhaps the journey so far been on nothing but 2 meetings and n (tending to Infinity) conference calls.
Nevertheless the feedback we have received makes us believe that we have done a decent job and with the beta in the pipeline, things should head north. *All fingers crossed*

P.S >> Btw have you heard the rumors regarding the beta version !!

Announcement – IIT JEE Call is up !!

We have News !!!

We finally have the list of scheduled calls up !!
And yes.. the first call will be on IIT JEE – One of the most grilling engineering entrance examinations all over the world.
Abhinav Garg – AIR # 3 JEE 2008 and Archit Gupta AIR # 4 will be answering queries and sharing their last minute secrets.
So if you are looking for last minute tips, or losing your focus, do register and log on to the call on 5th April

The Google Online Marketing Challenge …

Breaking News !!

Sharp minds, enthusiastic marketers and a free AdWords budget is something that not many startup’s are blessed with.Thanks to Google and a supre duper enthusiastic team from School Of Management, IIT Bombay, Voicetap is now enrolled for Google Online Marketing Challenge, where for a course of 3 weeks a team of six super enthusiastic marketeers will be planning an executing an adwords campaign for voicetap.

Google Online Marketing Challenge–

The Google Online Marketing Challenge is a global student online marketing competition open to any higher education institution, anywhere in the world. Student teams receive US$200 of free online advertising with Google AdWords and then work with local businesses to devise effective online marketing campaigns. Teams outline a strategy, run a campaign, assess their results and provide the business with recommendations to further develop their online marketing. Teams submit their reports and are judged by a panel of independent academics from all over the world.

The Challenge is open to any higher education institution from anywhere in the world. Registrations for 2009 have now closed but you can register your interest for 2010 .

So when Pramit approached M regarding their team planning and excuting an adwords campaign for Voicetap ,we happily enrolled. (Not many would say no to 6 bright students to be their consultants for FREE!! ). And here we are with a bunch of excited MBA students who would be designing and implementing the adwords campaign for Voicetap.
