2. EduArena.com and BITS Exam.com – Two upcoming portals catering exclusive to engineering students focused on helping them out with entrance exam related queries
3. Onlygizmos.com – A gadget blog by Ankur Agarwal

The response so far has been extremely encouraging. Soon we would be opening up the platform to the public that would allow anybody and everybody to integrate Voicetap’s service along with their offerings.  More dope coming soon.

We have another piece of news this week for you – Voicetap is now amongst the 20 finalists  for Mobile Premier Awards in Innovation - The largest open and global startup competition by an international jury of the most recognized mobile industry experts. The final presentation will be on 25th Feb in Barcelona in front of investors, operators, media companies, peer entrepreneurs, and press and influential bloggers.

Also the Voicetap team will be attending Proto which is being held at IIT Bombay on 30th Jan. Do drop by if you are around.

Just when the celebrations of winning The Red Herring Global 100 award (more on this later)were about to end,   Mrigank   shared the big news. Voicetap is a part of a select group of 50 winners chosen out of over 250 candidates from all over the world.

About Mobile Premier Awards-

The Mobile Premier Awards are the largest open and global startup competition in the mobile industry. Participation to these awards is free and open to any startup with a mobile angle. It will all lead to the Mobile Premier Awards event to take place in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress.

We all are super excited about this news and are looking forward for the final showdown that would happen at Barcelona on Feb 15th. Wish us Luck !!

Let me share a little secret out here – Most of us here are BIG, I mean really big Cartoon/Comic/Animation followers. Siddharth loves reading comics (Chacha Chaudhary being his personal favorite), Mrigank is a die hard Harry Potter fan, I personally am a big Pixar Fan and yes not to mention Dev who has been a big Asterix & Obelix follower .

But then the question is WHY GETAFIXX -

So Getafixx the name is derived from the comic character in Asterix and Obelix. He is the druid who conjures up various magical potions which can cure all ailments. We thought it would be apt to name the engine as Getafixx – because its core area of expertise is to help cure knowledge related ailments – quickly and effectively.
